Marya Czech, Sister of Notre Dame of the United States. Lifelong high school and college educator, mostly in biology and ecology, now working with a central Toledo nonprofit on social and environmental justice issues. We American Sisters of Notre Dame engage in diverse missionary work across India, Oceania, Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya. In India, we focus on education, running schools and providing vocational training for girls and women to empower them economically. In Oceania, our efforts include health care, establishing village clinics and which offer medical services to underserved communities. In Tanzania, we prioritize both education and health care, operating schools and health centers to improve local living conditions. In Uganda, their work extends to social services, supporting orphanages and programs for vulnerable children. In Kenya, we are involved in rural development projects, promoting sustainable agriculture and community development. Across all these regions, we emphasize holistic development, addressing both spiritual and physical needs. Our mission is deeply rooted in providing compassionate service and fostering self-reliance among the communities we serve. We are asking for your financial support of our missions so that the work continues for the building up the Church in these communities and countries.
