We are to bring the Good News to the world; this is the Great Commission from our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Our Patron, St. Paul VI, took these words to heart and put them into action as Pope.
Our new parish logo brings together many of the aspects of our patron's vision for the church and the future of evangelization.
The plain white cross represents his simplicity and his belief that the church needed to strip away much of the pomp and circumstance and get back to basics. The cross touches every continent, representing the pope who traveled the globe, bringing the Church to the ends of the Earth. You will notice that the cross does not dissect or divide the globe, but rather connects it. St. Paul VI brought the East and West together and helped unify the Christian churches of the world.
The blue represents our Blessed Mother, Mary.
The green represents our call for renewal and growth not only through the Renew My Church initiative but also from our present Pope Francis to care for creation.
By bringing these many aspects together we hope to inspire spiritual growth and confidence to be able to follow our Lord's command.
