What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of group conversations that explore life, spirituality, and faith through a Christian lens. Alpha provides a non-judgmental and open environment where it’s easy for anyone who is skeptical or curious about faith to explore questions of life with new friends. How it works Welcome: 6:30-6:45 PM Welcome, meet some new people. Dine: 6:45-7:15 PM A light meal is shared Watch: 7:15-7:45 PM Each Alpha meeting features a 25-minute film. Designed to inspire questions rather than provide answers, these films explore big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity. Do the films address questions such as Who is Jesus? And How can we have faith? Discuss: 7:45-8:30 PM The evening builds to the time of discussion. Your host will facilitate the group where you can share your thoughts about faith and life and hear from others in the group. You can share as little or as much as you like. Location: Mater Christi Church Marian Room 2401 S. 10th Ave., North Riverside Dates and Times - Due to the extreme winter weather Alpha has been postponed. We will resume later in the year.
